Every US sunscreen with bemotrizinol, from the FDA register
The FDA added bemotrizinol to the list of active ingredients permitted in over-the-counter sunscreens on June 10, 2026. The order took effect on August 9. Since then, four sunscreens containing it have been entered on the federal drug register. One of them is on sale.
This page records what is registered, not what you can buy. A product appears on the register when its maker files a label with the FDA. That can happen weeks before the product reaches a shelf, and some filings never become products. Where we could check whether something is actually for sale, we say so and give the date we looked.

Three things the table shows
Neutrogena filed two, at the maximum strength
Kenvue, which owns Neutrogena, entered two bemotrizinol sunscreens on the register on August 13, four days after the FDA order took effect. Both are filed at 6% bemotrizinol, the highest concentration the order permits. Ultra Violette's product is filed at 3%.
Neither Neutrogena product appeared on Neutrogena's own website when we checked on September 2, 2026. The site listed 49 sun products and neither was among them. We could not find either at a major retailer either.
Only one product is actually for sale
Ultra Violette's Unblock Screen SPF 50 is listed on the brand's US store at $40 for 50 mL, about $23.66 per fluid ounce. We did not find it on Sephora's site on September 2, 2026, although the brand's own announcement said it would be sold there. Six other Ultra Violette products were listed at Sephora the same day.
One more is announced but not registered
Ultra Violette's US store also lists Fave Screen SPF 50 with bemotrizinol, 50 mL, $38, marked "Coming soon" with a notify-me button. It is not on the FDA register under the company's filings as of September 2, 2026.
What we could not confirm
- Whether the Neutrogena products have a planned on-sale date. Kenvue has not published one we could find.
- Whether the MZANK product is sold in the US. We did not check its retail availability.
- Shipping cost for any of these. We did not place an order.
- Two older filings, from 2022 and 2024, also list bemotrizinol but predate the FDA order and sit under different marketing categories. We left them out rather than present filings we cannot explain.
How this page is built
Everything above comes from two free federal databases: the FDA's National Drug Code Directory and DailyMed, which holds the label filed for each product. Sunscreens are regulated as over-the-counter drugs in the United States, so every one sold here has a filing, and anyone can read them. We wrote up the method so you can check any product yourself.
We will update this page as filings appear. Nothing here says what bemotrizinol does to skin or how well it works. Those are questions for a dermatologist and for the published research.
