Korean sunscreen US versions listed with the FDA in 2026: 32 brands, 101 listings, every NDC and active ingredient
People search whether Korean sunscreen is banned in the US, or whether it is FDA approved. The FDA's own records answer a narrower question: which Korean brands have listed a US version, and what that version contains. The FDA's drug directory has 1,058 sunscreen listings whose listing starts between January 1 and October 4, 2026. 101 of them come from 32 brands based in South Korea, and all 101 are on this page with their NDC numbers, active ingredients and dates.
Every one of the 101 lists only active ingredients from the FDA's sunscreen list: avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene, octinoxate, ensulizole, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. None lists bemotrizinol, the filter the FDA added to that list on June 9, 2026. Each listing is filed under the sunscreen monograph, M020, as an OTC monograph drug. A listing is not an approval; the FDA says "Assignment of an NDC number does not in any way denote FDA approval of the product."
46 of the listings are sunscreens, sticks and sets, and 55 are cushion compacts, BB and CC creams, a primer and lip balms with an SPF. HERA alone accounts for 31, all for shades of its Black Cushion Foundation. Mediheal, Medicube and Manyo each list a sunscreen with the same four active ingredients at the same strengths: ensulizole 2.5%, homosalate 5%, octisalate 4.5% and octocrylene 5%.
We report what the FDA listings, the labels and the brands' own websites say. We do not describe what any filter does, and we do not rate the products.

HERA's 31 listings split in two. The 13 lighter shades list octinoxate, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide; the directory lists only octinoxate for the 18 shades from 28N1 to 50N1. All 31 are 15 g and start on September 1, 2026. The TIRTIR lip balms are also on our zinc oxide lip sunscreen list.
Three brands, one set of strengths
Mediheal's Madecassoside Moisture Sun Serum (74005-002), Medicube's PDRN Hydrating UV Serum (82440-200) and Manyo's Air Light Moisturizing Sunscreen (87465-100) list the same four active ingredients at the same strengths: ensulizole 2.5%, homosalate 5%, octisalate 4.5% and octocrylene 5%. Each is listed in a 50 mL size; Mediheal's listing also covers a 15 mL size and multi-packs. The labelers are different companies: the number 74005, APR US INC and Manyo Factory Corp.
The inactive ingredients they filed are not the same. Mediheal's listing includes madecassoside, asiaticoside, asiatic acid and madecassic acid. Manyo's includes rosemary oil, clary sage oil and Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica) bark oil, which Mediheal's does not. Medicube's listing names only four inactive ingredients: isododecane, butyloctyl salicylate, methyl trimethicone and pentylene glycol. None of the three listings names a manufacturing establishment, and our Mediheal page reports that the Mediheal carton names COSMAX, Inc. as the manufacturer. The FDA records do not show that any two of the three are one formula.
Other combinations repeat too. Aprilskin, BeginS's Aqua Sunscreen, Goodal's Moisture Sunscreen and Isntree's Watery Sunscreen all list avobenzone 2.85%, homosalate 7%, octisalate 4.5% and octocrylene 9%. belif's, BeginS's and Centellian24's sticks all list avobenzone 2.7%, homosalate 9.5%, octisalate 4.5% and octocrylene 5%.
Why a US version is a separate product
In the US a sunscreen is an over-the-counter drug, and the FDA's sunscreen monograph sets which active ingredients it may contain. On June 9, 2026 the FDA added bemotrizinol to what it calls "the list of permitted sunscreen active ingredients", and wrote: "Bemotrizinol is the first new active ingredient added to the over-the-counter (OTC) sunscreen monograph since the late 1990s."
A Korean brand's home-market formula can use filters that are not on that list. Mediheal's Korean Madecassoside sun serum, for example, lists ethylhexyl triazone, bemotrizinol and ecamsule, and its US version lists none of them; our Mediheal page compares the two. The 101 listings here are the versions these brands filed for the US, and each one names only filters on the FDA's list. Bemotrizinol is on the list now, but until February 2028 only DSM and its licensees may sell it in a US sunscreen, as our exclusivity page explains.
Which filters the 101 use
- Octinoxate: 41 listings, all 31 HERA cushions, all 8 Sulwhasoo cushions, Lebelage's lotion and d'Alba's tinted sunscreen.
- Zinc oxide or titanium dioxide only: 14 listings, from Anua, Goodal's Zinc 100, Isntree's Sensitive Sunscreen, iUNIK's Beta-Glucan, Accoje, Fusidyne and the 8 TIRTIR lip balm listings.
- Ensulizole: 5 listings, the Mediheal, Medicube and Manyo sunscreens and OHUI's two CC cushions.
- No listing names oxybenzone or bemotrizinol.
Beauty of Joseon, SKIN1004 and Round Lab
Beauty of Joseon has no listing in the FDA's drug directory under that brand name or with joseon in the company name, by our search on October 4, 2026. SKIN1004 has one, the Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum, NDC 85796-2805, listed by Craver Corporation with a listing start of September 1, 2025, so it is not among the 2026 listings.
Round Lab's 2026 listings are all sets. Each set contains a Birch Juice Moisturizing UV Lock: a 50 mL tube in three of them and a 30 mL tube in the Summer Travel Kit, SPF 45 in the Mother's Day set and SPF 50 in the other three. The standalone UV Lock tubes were listed earlier, on September 18, 2024, as 84616-005 (SPF 45) and 84616-007 (SPF 50). The single SPF 45 tube on Round Lab's US store corresponds to the 2024 listing 84616-005, which includes a 50 mL tube; it is not one of the 2026 listings.
Who filed them, and how we know the brand is Korean
We counted a brand when the company behind it gives an address or a phone number in South Korea, on its own website or on the FDA label. The company that filed the listing is named first.

Who the listings name as the maker
Some listings name a manufacturing establishment. Cosmax is named for 11 listings: Abib's three tubes, BeginS's two sunscreens, Goodal's Moisture Sunscreen and stick, Isntree's three Watery Sunscreen listings and iUNIK's Centella Relief. Kolmar Korea is named for 9: celimax, Goodal's Zinc 100, Isntree's Daily Sungel and Sensitive Sunscreen, P.CALM and all four Round Lab sets. HANACOS is named for Mizon's five BB creams; reBom for Dewytree, Some By Mi and Touch in Sol; fmg for OHUI's three listings; and KONAD for Lebelage. COSMAX USA names itself for the four TIRTIR lip balm listings it filed, and Aekyung names itself for AGE20's set. UCL Co., Ltd. is named as the maker of iUNIK's Beta-Glucan Mild Sunscreen, and UCL also filed Accoje's Air-Fit Mineral Sunscreen, naming itself as the maker: both list zinc oxide 10.08%, with titanium dioxide at 5.61% and 5.616%.
The Anua, Aprilskin, belif, Centellian24, COSRX, Fusidyne, Innisfree, Manyo, Medicube, Mediheal, Neogen and Sulwhasoo listings, and TIRTIR USA's own listings, name no establishment. The HERA, d'Alba and Melixir listings had no linked label for us to read. A named establishment tells you who reported making a product; it does not show that two products share a formula.

The companies that filed these, Able C&C (Missha), Enprani (Holika Holika), ESPOIR Corporation, Have & Be (Dr.Jart+), THANK YOU FARMER, PICTON (Tocobo) and ARSN KOREA (Baloom), are not counted in the 101 because we could not read a page that gives their address. Some of the brand sites block automated reading, and others build their pages in a way we could not read.

We did not look for their company addresses.
- Whether any Korean brand listed a 2026 product under a company name we did not recognize. We read all 338 company names on the 1,058 listings.
- Which of the 101 are on sale in the US. A listing date is the date the company gave the FDA, not the day a product went on sale.
- The Drug Facts percentages for the HERA cushions and the d'Alba and Melixir sunscreens, which had no linked label in the openFDA data, and for the Missha BB creams and the Aprilskin, Centellian24, Medicube and Mediheal sunscreens, whose label data has no Drug Facts in text. For these we used the directory's strengths.
- Whether the HERA shades from 28N1 to 50N1 contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. The directory lists octinoxate alone for them.
