Prequel Lip Visor SPF 30 colors and ingredients: all six shades use octinoxate 7.5%, and the four 2026 shades add menthol and peppermint oil
Prequel's Lip Visor Sunscreen lists two active ingredients on its FDA labels: avobenzone 3% and octinoxate 7.5%. All six shades - Clear, Rosedust, Blush, Nude, Berry and Mahogany - list the same two at the same strengths, as Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in a 0.34 fl oz (10 mL) tube. None of the labels claims water resistance.
The shades were listed with the FDA in two batches. Clear and Rosedust were listed in April 2025; Blush, Nude, Berry and Mahogany in January 2026. The four newer labels list menthol, peppermint oil, spearmint leaf oil and camphor among the inactive ingredients. The Clear and Rosedust labels list none of the four.
A tube costs $14.00 at Prequel's store, or $41.18 per fl oz, and $13.99 at Target, which offers five of the colors. Prequel's set of the four newer shades costs $47.00, or $11.75 a tube.
We report what the labels, the FDA listings and the stores say. We do not describe what any filter or ingredient does, and we do not rate the product.

The directions on the Clear label tell you to reapply at least every 2 hours and to "use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating"; the Berry carton prints the same directions. Titanium dioxide appears in the inactive ingredients of Blush, Nude and Mahogany as a colorant (CI 77891); it is not listed as an active ingredient.

Both sets of labels start their inactive ingredients with petrolatum and list shea butter, physalis angulata extract, bisabolol and ethylhexyl methoxycrylene. The Clear and Rosedust labels end with limonene, linalool, citral and citronellol, followed by a list of colorants marked +/-. The four newer labels add menthol, carvone, peppermint oil, spearmint leaf oil, lemon peel oil and camphor, among others, and each lists its own colorants.
The FDA listings
- All six are listed by The Center Brands, LLC. The cartons name Prequel of Los Angeles as the distributor.
- The labels on DailyMed: Clear, version 2, effective April 28, 2025; Rosedust, version 2, effective December 4, 2025; Blush, Nude, Berry and Mahogany, effective January 16, 2026.
- The directory gives each package as 10 mg in one tube. The cartons print 0.34 fl oz (10 mL).

The four-shade set works out $6.62 less per fl oz than a single tube at Prequel. Target's $13.99 is a cent below Prequel's $14.00, but Clear is not among Target's color options.
