Bask Daily Invisible Gel SPF 40 ingredients: what the FDA label lists, and the price per fl oz in each size, from $14.12 to $20.90

Bask's Daily Invisible Gel SPF 40 lists four active ingredients on its FDA label: avobenzone 3%, homosalate 10%, octisalate 5% and octocrylene 5%. The label calls it a broad spectrum SPF 40 facial sunscreen, water resistant for 80 minutes, in a 1.7 fl oz (50 mL) tube.

Bask's own store sells it in two sizes, one at a time or in packs. Worked out per fluid ounce, the cost runs from $14.12 for a pack of two full-size tubes to $20.90 for a single 0.67 fl oz mini.

We report what the label, the FDA listing and the store say. We do not describe what any filter does, and we do not rate the product.

The FDA listing

  • NDC 87244-001, "Bask SPF 40 Broad Spectrum", listed by Surfside Skincare, Inc. dba Bask Suncare.
  • The listing starts February 9, 2026. The label on DailyMed is version 3, effective March 2, 2026.
  • The listing covers one package: a 50 mL tube in a box, NDC 87244-001-50.

The store also sells the two-tube pack on a separate page, at the same $48.00. Scroll sideways on a phone.

A single mini costs $4.43 more per fl oz than a single full-size tube ($20.90 against $16.47). The Party Pack of 20 minis comes to $14.93 per fl oz, 81 cents above the two-tube pack.

One FDA directory figure does not match the label

If you look the gel up in the FDA's National Drug Code Directory - as our guide to checking a sunscreen suggests - the entry lists octisalate as 10 g per 100 mL. The printed label says octisalate 5%. The other three strengths match.

The figures on this page are the label's. When the directory and the label disagree, the label is the document printed on the product.

What we could not confirm

  • When the gel first went on sale. Bask states no date, and an FDA listing date is not a sale date.
  • A label for the 0.67 fl oz (20 mL) mini. The FDA listing we read covers the 1.7 fl oz (50 mL) tube, so the mini's size and price here are the store's.
  • What the store charges at checkout, with tax and shipping. We did not add anything to a cart.
  • Prices at Amazon, Ulta, Target or other retailers. We did not check them.
